Why Chiropractic?

I fell in love with chiropractic care while working as a chiropractic assistant. I initially thought it was ‘just a job’ while I figured out my professional calling. I soon discovered chiropractic care is a natural and holistic full body approach to health and wellbeing that had people feeling and functioning better than they could have imagined. I noticed how excited patients were to receive care, work on their health goals, heal, and become better versions of themselves. I was so inspired by my experience, that I decided to become a chiropractor, so that I may extend this same healing and wellbeing to my community.

I completed my chiropractic training overseas, in the breathtaking country New Zealand. The New Zealand college of chiropractic is world renowned for its vitalistic, researched backed approach to chiropractic care. We learned a wide variety of techniques to ensure anyone may access safe and effective chiropractic care based on their bodies needs and health goals.

Some of the techniques I offer are as follows:

  • Diversified
  • Webster’s technique
  • Breathwork
  • Gonstead
  • Upper cervical specific
  • Activator assist
  • Thompson technique
  • Extremity adjustments
  • Soft tissue work and rehab

EXPLORE OUR SERVICES »

On the spectrum of health, chiropractic aims to optimally enhance wellbeing, and this is done by investigating the function of, and healing the nervous system. This is achieved by a thorough health history consultation, a physical examination assessing the spine and nervous system, posture, range of movement, orthopedic and neurological function, and x-ray imaging, if clinically necessary. This assessment helps us determine how the function of your spine and nervous system affects your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as your ability to perform your daily activities.

In practice I enjoy providing chiropractic care for the entire family! In particular, I’ve got a special interest in caring for young families, pregnant women, babies and children. That being said, I care for infants, all the way through to the golden years. Chiropractic care is unique to each individual’s health goals, and once that is determined, then we create a custom care plan to allow you to achieve them.

Birth & Postpartum Doula

As I have a particular interest in young families, pregnant women and infants, I wanted to take my skills one step further and support families as a Birth & Postpartum Doula. It’s my heart’s work to be a consistent and reliable care provider that empowers families to bring to fruition their unique, informed, heart centered birth and postpartum vision, goals and ideals. I’ve also taken additional training in lactation to help families reach their feeding goals.

I’m passionate about Doula work as it’s an evidence based approach to empowered and informed birth. Families are supported to achieve their birth and postpartum goals, while receiving unbiased care that can range from mental, emotional, and physical support. As each client is unique and has their own needs, care will also be unique and customized to the individual and family.

As a Chiropractor and Doula, I offer my services separately or in conjunction based on your preferences. I bring my chiropractic table to your home, and am able to deliver gentle, yet effective chiropractic adjustments to you and baby during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

If you have any questions about Birth and Postpartum Doula and Chiropractic care, I offer a complimentary 15 minute no obligation phone consultation.
